Amazon Smart Plug – £12.95 at Amazon 17Dec

Best price for a while , just ordered myself 2 more (already have 3 ) . Wouldn’t pay the full price of £25 . So much better than the random smart plugs you could buy that “work with Alexa ” but require connecting via various apps and faffing about . With this one , just plug it in , Ask Alexa to find it – job done . I’ll use these with a couple of extensions to :- a) Plug my various chargers into (which I always forget to turn off) b) Plug my TV , Sky Box , stereo etc into which at the moment have a birds nest of plugs and cables behind the TV ( I daren’t go in behind there every night and morning to turn stuff on and off ????) So with a word to Alexa I can switch them on or off as required. Apparently saving myself a fortune by not leaving stuff on Stand by as I do at the moment .
